IFE Poland 2004 will take place in Warsaw on May 18-20, giving exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to celebrate the country's accession to the European Union.

Christopher Newton of event co-organiser Montgomery said: "There has never been a better time to take advantage of the opportunities available [in Poland]. IFE Poland in 2003 showed how successful exhibitors are at introducing companies to new markets. The 2004 event will be an even more comprehensive display of food and drink products from around the world.

"The weight of expectation on the largest of the proposed new member countries to join the EU is providing new opportunities for both Polish and international businesses. The country has a strong horticultural background, and accession will give importers around Europe an easier and less taxing route to a commercial population with a desire for diversity, change and new influences."
