The Brecon company Beacon Foods is running trials on honey-roast parsnips as well as a range of mixes including leeks, swedes, parsnips, carrots and potatoes for soups, ready-meals and sandwiches. "Developing products for customers can take from a couple of weeks up to eight months for the more complex recipes," said Edward Gough, Beacon's md.
