M&S has chosen Fourayes Farm and its md to front a nation-wide in-store campaign For The Love of Food. The promotion aims to show consumers the faces behind some of the best UK-produced foods available.

Philip Acock is the third generation to work in the family business based in Bicknor, Kent, which was set up 50 years ago. The farm processes 6,500 tonnes of apples every year and produces fillings for Tesco and Waitrose as well as M&S. Its turnover was £3.8 million in March 2003 and is forecast at £4.5 million for 2004.

Over the past six years, Fourayes has invested heavily in its premises building a modern facility to supply its increasing demand. "I was delighted to be chosen as the face of British desserts for the Marks & Spencer campaign, it's a real boost for the quality of Kentish Bramley apples," said Acock. "The support we've had from top customers is helping to grow the business year on year."
