Beacon Foods has developed a creamy "apple fluff" to accompany pre-packed pork chops. The diced Bramley apples are cooked with butter to produce the tangy ingredient.
Product development manager Diane Bailey and her team have developed a whole range of fruit ingredients. These include; chargrilled and bar-marked peach segments, roasted banana chunks with honey, roasted and chargrilled lime segments and mango slices.
The company has also added pomodorino - a baby plum tomato - to its portfolio of tomato products. Raw pomodorino halves are being supplied for premium pizza toppings and other avenues for the produce are being sought.
