Foodex Meatex is launching the search for 2004 industry innovations earlier than before

Foodex Meatex has announced plans to extend the format for its Innovation Awards and launch the search earlier for the 2004 event.

Rather than collect nominations during the event, as happened in 2002, nominations are being requested in advance. This will enable short-listed companies to receive the benefits of advanced publicity and promotion at the show, where they will be featured in a special display area.

Foodex Meatex chief executive Steve Bax said: “We are looking for exhibitors who believe that they have something that fits this description. It may be a new or re-developed product, a revolutionary service or a new process that will transform working practices. The only requirement is that it is innovative.”

To qualify the new products, services or processes should be launched at the 2004 or have been introduced within the 12 months prior to the show and being exhibited at Foodex for the first time. Nominations are being received between now and February 13. The winners will be announced on the exhibition's final day ñ March 17.
