Crop production specialist Hutchinsons is collaborating with Adas to help its customers by offering additional technical information.

The Hutchinsons agronomy team covers all types of fruit whether outdoor or glasshouse grown, as well as ornamentals and asparagus.

The firm advises on and supplies agrochemicals, biological control agents and micronutrients.

Advisory services also cover general establishment, pruning, post harvest treatment and storage.

A key component of the new agreement with Adas Research means Hutchinsons agronomists will have additional information at their disposal from independent trials and on-farm tests. They will also receive advice on policy matters that could affect their grower-clients.

"We are equipping our agronomists to be able to provide the highest level of advice on agronomic and environmental issues," said Andrew McShane, a sales manager at Hutchinsons. "This combination of in-depth knowledge and technical insight will help growers to make better informed and more successful business decisions."
