Ex-Peoplesoft European vice president to lead Oxford-based sales intelligence specialist.

Vecta Software Corporation (Vecta), the Oxford-based provider of sales intelligence solutions, has appointed Martin Mackay as chief executive. He will be leading the company - whose software promises to help make sales teams more effective by analysing customer buying patterns - in its next phase of growth.

Mackay joins Vecta from Add Partners, a leading venture capital firm which helps to build the most promising of Europe’s technology businesses into global leaders. As venture partner, he previously sat on the boards of Add Partners’ portfolio companies, Vecta and Polarlake.

Mackay has over 15 years’ experience in the European technology industry. Over eight years at Peoplesoft, he held a variety of roles including senior business development, strategy and marketing positions and most recently, was Peoplesoft’s vp, EMEA, Marketing & Alliances.

“Having worked very closely with Vecta over the last 18 months in an advisory capacity, I’ve seen first hand how Vecta is able to transform the effectiveness of sales operations, particularly in the manufacturing, distribution and wholesale sectors. Vecta is a unique proposition and is poised for further growth,” commented Mackay.”

Mackay replaces Justin Floyd, a founder of and investor in Vecta, who remains as a non-executive director of the company.
