Irish fruit and veg giant Keelings has announced the appointment of Gavin Mulligan as commercial director to the Keelings Group board, with responsibility for Keelings Multiples Ireland.

As a board member Mulligan will also have responsibility for the Keelings flower business and wholesale business.

Mulligan, who is widely experienced in the commercial sector, joined Keelings eight years ago. Prior to this, he held senior management positions in the retail sector in Northern Ireland.

Following a complete restructure of the Keelings business last October, the principal shareholders are Joe Keeling, chief executive / chairman; Caroline Keeling, group managing director; William Keeling, managing director of the UK business, and David Keeling, managing director, soft fruit and farms.
