Packaging specialist Infia is launching a new side-ventilated punnet ideal for grapes.

The new line will be unveiled at next week’s Fruit Logistica exhibition. “This particular innovation is aimed at UK grape importers,” said Infia UK’s Ian Seamark. “Excellent air flow through grapes during transit and in store is of the utmost importance.”

Seamark believes packaging specification differences between the UK, mainland Europe and global markets are diminishing. “UK customers demand quality produce presented and pre-packaged to enhance its appearance, provide protection during transit and create the optimum cost-effective environment or even the most delicate fresh produce,” he said.

“Our key market groups such as tomatoes, soft fruit, stonefruit and UK apples and pears integrate perfectly with Infia’s comprehensive range of products.
