Florette's new range expanding already

Florette’s You Are What You Eat salad range launched less than three months ago is exceeding the company’s sales expectations to the extent that the range will be expanded and refreshed at the end of the year.

“The fine weather has undoubtedly helped,” said Mark Newton, md of Florette UK and director of Soleco. “But we are also seeing a shift to better understanding of the link between health and diet. There are also a lot more men buying the products than we thought and we are doing a lot of promotion now in the men’s and health press. We already have two products in the range and a bank of others to launch so we can keep refreshing the range and change it at the end of the year.”

Soleco teamed with Celador International, owner of the You Are What You Eat television format, to launch the You Are What You Eat snack salad range in April.

The two choices in the new salad snack range are: Mixed Leaf and Bean Salad featuring mixed beans, baby-leaf spinach, lambs lettuce, lollo rosso, carrot and sun-dried tomato dressing; and Mixed Leaf and Seed Salad which adds mixed seeds to escarole, wild beetroot, lollo rosso with balsamic and olive oil dressing.

The recommended sale price for the salads is £1.99 for 175g and 215g packs and they are already in a number of supermarkets and c-stores.
