Greasley

Raoul Greasley, popular among the Leicestershire and Rutland farming community for his work with the Young Farmers Club and charity events, has moved to Cambridge-based farm insurance broker La Playa.

He will advise farmers and estate managers on how to safeguard their business by managing risk, and help them to secure affordable specialist insurance.

Greasley said: “With the need for many to diversify these days, and with regular changes in the law, it’s difficult for farmers to keep up with the range of risks they need to insure.

“Simply inviting members of the public onto your land engenders all sorts of liabilities, and health and safety risks - and many farmers are either under-insured or paying over the odds for inappropriate covers.

“What attracted me to La Playa was the superb one-to-one professional service on offer, and the unique way in which the team strive to reduce clients’ costs by helping to improve the risk before presenting it to the insurer.”

Greasley, who was a former chairman of his local Young Farmers Club, has hands-on farming experience, as well as a degree in environmental biogeoscience.
