The Greenery is expanding its Tradizionale tomato range to include mini plum Flavorino type San Paulo.
The fruit is sweet and tasty with thick flesh and an aromatic flavour. It is available loose in 3kg boxes or 25og punnets.
“There is growing interest among consumers for better tasting tomatoes,” said Yvonne Geurten, Greenery marketing manager. “The San Paulo is particularly tasty and we are introducing it as an ideal delicious and healthy treat or snack.”
The Dutch marketer is also ramping up production of another fruit in its Tradizionale range: San Mazzo. The mini snack tomato has thicker skin and is low on pips and acidity as well as high on sugar with a brix content of nine.
