A partnership between Florette, the UK’s bagged salad expert, and Hellmann’s is expected to increase sales of salad in foodservice this summer.

Caterers buying any three Florette salad mixes from 3663 or Swithenbank during August will receive a litre of Hellmann’s Classic Vinaigrette salad dressing completely free.

Sandy Sewell, commercial director of Florette UK, said: “This initiative is part of our fresh thinking to increase sales in the out-of-home industry. We hope that it will encourage outlets still using wholehead lettuce to try the bagged variety.

“The benefits are endless - in addition to consistency of quality and product, bagged salads can be assembled on premises with minimum labour, have a longer life and zero wastage. Florette salads also offer greater plate coverage, meaning meals are more visually appealing.”

There are ten varieties of Florette salad catering packs including Iceberg, Crispy, Sweet and Crunchy and Rocket.
