European trailer manufacturer Krone has expanded its UK sales team to meet the growing demand for its products.
The company has taken on Dave Furnival, as the UK aftersales manager and Scot Smaldon, as internal sales manager.
Furnival, who will help Krone develop the UK service dealer and parts network, has 25 years’ experience in the transport industry and was shortlisted for the prestigious Fleet Engineer of the Year in the Motor Transport Awards 2007.
He said: “Krone manufactures an excellent range of trailers and I will ensure any company operating these will have the best aftersales service. I will also, through discussions with UK operators, assist the factory in developing trailers that we will be in the forefront in the marketplace.”
Smaldon has worked in the industry for 24 years in various roles, spending the last four years in a production planning role with Gray & Adams.
He said: “Krone is one of the largest and most progressive manufacturers in Europe and I consider it a privilege to be considered for this position. The potential for growth in the UK market is staggering and I will do my very best to support the sales team in everything they do.”
Krone is one of largest manufacturer of trailers and semi trailers in Europe and there are already more than 2,000 Krone trailers in the UK.
