The Seatrade Group has announced the retirement of its chairman Marnix van Overklift after 36 years in the international cargo business.

The company said in a statement: “Marnix van Overklift has given a substantial and valuable contribution to the reefer industry as well as to the national and international shipping community, leaving behind a healthy and viable group of companies, well positioned to go forward into the future.

“We do owe him our sincere gratitude for decades of excellent and hard work. His contributions will remain a guiding beacon to all associated with the Seatrade name.

With his departure, Mr Gerry Pepping, long associated with Seatrade, will assume various responsibilities in the Group.

In retirement van Overklift will concentrate on private business as well as on professional activities in the shipping community.
