The fourth edition of the Turkish trade fair Fresh Antalya will take place in spring next year, hosted by Anfaş.

The event, set to take place on March 18-20, 2010, will bring together professionals from around the globe to meet at one of the largest wholesale markets in the region, both in size and value of its economic operations.

Buyers from within the fresh and dried fruit and vegetable, production and processing, industrial machinery and related technology industries will gather at the meet.

çiğdem Akmandor, Anfaş Fresh Antalya exhibition director, said: “This is a very challenging, but also exciting time for the industry, as the slowing of the global economy has affected just about every country in the world. Yet in Turkey it has created a great deal of opportunity, as buyers, particularly in the dominant supermarkets, are looking for different suppliers to provide a broader range of product than ever before and at all levels of the market.

“When our show was opened last year, our international exhibitors and visitors said they were interested in finding different suppliers and in particular, smaller companies with perhaps niche products, or out-of-season lines which they could include in their range.”
