Experienced fresh produce boss Anne Walton is to join British & Brazilian Produce (B&B) Ltd.

Walton, who left flower and vegetable supplier Flamingo Holdings in November, will join the business on Monday as managing director.

She was general manager at Flamingo from July 2009 - November 2010 having previously held the position of commercial controller since December 2006.

B&B specialises in the supply of grapes, melons and stonefruit to supermarkets, foodservice companies and food processors.

In February 2009, Produce World Ltd sold B&B to fruit firm AG Thames Ltd, parent company of Chingford Fruit Ltd, and kept it as a separate trading entity within its group structure.

Vegetable specialist Produce World bought B&B in 2006, but decided the sale of the Yaxley-based fruit company was in all parties’ interests.

Walton was also commercial director at Exotic Farm Produce (EFP) for more than 10 years from April 1996.

EFP specialises in the sale of peas, beans and exotic vegetables.
