Irish producer and marketer Keelings has just harvested its first crop of aubergines.
Planted in December, the harvesting season for the vegetable will run from March until October at the firm’s glasshouses in St Margaret’s, Dublin.
At the season’s peak, four tonnes of the product will be picked and packed for the Irish market.
