Several celebrities lent their support to Barfoots of Botley at the Taste London food festival as it raised awareness ahead of the new British sweetcorn season.
Using the event to sample its Sweetcorn Bites brand, the vegetable producer gave no less than 17,000 corn on the cobs, with celebrities including Vanessa Feltz, TOWIE star Chloe Sims and JB Gill of boyband JLS tasting the company's wares.
‘'The Taste London Festival was the perfect platform in which to highlight the great taste of sweetcorn and introduce the upcoming British season,' saidJames Meers, commercial manager at Barfoots.
He added: 'We want to capitalise on the successes of last year throughout our retail customers and build awareness of the produce 52 weeks a year – not only in the summer months -and are looking forward to introducing new formats throughout the retailers this year.'
