Del Monte veteran Peter Miller has joined Henderson Brown as a non-executive director.
The recruitment company has appointed the former man from Del Monte to join the board this month. Miller was managing director at Del Monte Fresh Produce UK from 1997 before heading up the combined fresh and foods business at the multinational from 2005-08 when he became managing director of the poultry business unit at Vion Food UK until earlier this year.
Martin Brown, director of Henderson Brown, said: “I welcome the addition of Peter to our business, he has a real insight in to the fresh food sector, and the issues and challenges associated with it. He also has many years of board level experience that he will bring with him to help develop the team further here at Henderson Brown.”

Miller’s appointment follows the departure of Steven Henderson who announced earlier this year that he was leaving the business to set up his own company.
Henderson Brown specialises in food-sector recruitment placing fresh produce professionals in jobs in the wider European food and fresh produce industries.
