G's Fresh has launched a bespoke Chinese Leaf boxin time for Chinese New Year.
In a break from the traditional G's blue boxes, it features a red and black Chinese-inspired design, and carries slightly larger and heavier heads selected to appeal to the Chinese catering markets.
The product is packed in clear film so it is more visible.
It is available now from P&I Side Salads at New Covent Garden Market, and at Manchester and Birmingham wholesale markets.
Supply is currently from Portugal, but it is hoped to continue the distinctive presentation into the UK season starting in May.
Samantha Thompson, G's wholesale account executive, said: 'Red is considered a lucky colour representing wealth in Chinese culture, and we hope this new box will be a success.'
Chinese New Year is officially today, 31 January, but major celebrations are planned in central London for Sunday 2 February.
