Huntapac Produce has secured a retail listing for its vegetable crisps.

The Roots Hand Cooked Vegetable Crisps are now on sale at Booths stores in Lancashire.

The crisps are made from carrots, parsnips and beetroot grown in Lancashire and across the UK by Huntapac.

Booths is the first retailer to stock the snack, which until now has only been available through wholesalers.

Huntapac has supplied the northern-based retailer with vegetables for more than two decades.

Rachel Alty, account manager at Huntapac, told the Lancashire Evening Post: “We are very excited to be launching Roots direct to consumers for the very first time, and it is a real treat to see them in Booths’ stores.

“Booths has an excellent reputation for supporting local producers and we are pleased to be strengthening our relationship with them.

“We hope people in Lancashire will enjoy Roots and that the Huntapac story and the Lancashire heritage will resonate with consumers who are keener than ever to know how and where their food is produced.”

Huntapac’s Roots Hand Cooked Vegetable Crisps will be available in 50g bags, and are priced at 89p.
