ERMS (UK) upped its pre-tax profit in the most recent financial year.

The wholesale salad, citrus and grape specialist went from recording a profit of £1.17 million in 2012, to £1.23m in the year ending 31 December 2013.

Turnover for the year was down from £20m in 2012, to just under £19.8m.

Despite citing “difficult trading conditions”, Ian Smith, MD for the Cambridgeshire-based firm, said this figure was an increase on what was forecast.

He added: “The directors acknowledge the tremendous efforts made by a very loyal workforce.”
