Forklift incidents led to two workers being injured

MyFresh has initiated changes in the workplace following two forklift accidents.

The William Jackson Food Group (WJFG) business was recently ordered to pay out more than £46,000 after separate incidents left two workers with injuries.

MyFresh's MD has said that the firm has now put measures in place aimed at minimising the risk of similar incidents occuring in future.

Nick Gale told FPJ: “The health and safety of all employees, contractors and visitors is our most important priority and we have made a number of changes to ensure this does not happen again.

“We're pleased that our colleagues have now returned to work, and we are focused on the continued development of a strong and ever-improving safety culture. This is at the core of what we do, and we are constantly seeking to improve our processes and procedures to ensure our sites are safe places to work.”

MyFresh was formed in 2014 following a merger between two WJFG fresh produce businesses, Parripak and Hazeldene.
