Pink Lady kids range Pinkids

The Pinkids range is available now in Asda

Pink Lady licensor Coregeo has launched a new range of smaller-sized Pink Lady apples into Asda following feedback that larger fruit don’t fit into kids’ lunchboxes.

The new range, named Pinkids, comes in packs of eight mini apples currently retailing at £2.

Its launch follows recent consumer research, conducted by Leatherhead Food Research, that found a Pink Lady apple to be the most ‘Snackisfying’ snack when compared with six alternatives.

“These smaller Pinkids apples are just as juicy, sweet, crunchy and appetising as a regular Pink Lady,” said Coregeo's chief marketing officer, Michelle Toft.

“Feedback from customers is that children love Pink Lady apples, but they can sometimes be slightly too big for lunch boxes. We want to encourage the whole family to think of a Pink Lady apple as the best, healthy snack option, which is what we found from our latest research conducted with Leatherhead Food Research.”
