Class A drugs were reportedly found in a box of fruit delivered to a Tesco store

Police are investigating after around £600,000 worth of Class A drugs were allegedly discovered in a box of bananas at a Tesco store.

Officers were called to Tesco in Finchampstead Road, Wokingham, at 5.30pm on July 22.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: 'Police were called to reports of packages being found in a confinement of fruit. These are believed to have been class A drugs.'

The packages, which are believed to contain a white powder, were seized by police who are still investigating the matter. No arrests have currently been made.
