Stirfresh has signed up to become Dundee United's healthy eating partners, supplying produce to the players in the senior team and the youth team.
The fresh produce firm has also scored a screamer by getting the Scottish Premier League side's former captain Paul Hegarty on board to promote its healthy eating message.
Stirfresh owner Andrew Stirling, said: 'We are a family-run company, and we want our Scottish children to be educated from an early age, and to be leaving school with an ability to cook, even if it is just a pot of soup.
'This made the decision to take on Paul - who is also Montrose FC manager - an easy decision.
'We want to use Paul's knowledge of health and fitness to speak to schools and students, and tell some of his stories about beating the likes of Barcelona and Roma in European semi-finals, and of playing against Maradona for Scotland.'
Stirfresh supplies schools, hospitals, care homes, universities, hotels and restaurants with fresh Scottish produce, while Aldi stocks some of its lines.
Hegarty captained Dundee United during their most successful era in the 1970s and 1980s, and won eight international caps for Scotland.
In the 1982–83 season, Hegarty was an ever-present as the Tangerines captured the Scottish League title. He also featured in many notable victories in European competition, although injury restricted his participation in Dundee United's run to the 1987 UEFA Cup Final.
He was appointed manager of Scottish League Two club Montrose in February 2015, having previously managed Forfar Athletic, Aberdeen, Dundee United and Livingston.
