Evesham-based contract packer Elision UK has more than doubled its site capacity by expanding to a second location five miles away.

The new facility, at Honeybourne, east of Evesham, is part of a planned expansion for Elision, and means its total floor space has grown by 120 per cent to cater for an expected 70 per cent increase in packing volumes.

Elision’s original site on the Vale Business Park will now be dedicated to salads, to help develop partner company Wellpak’s new salad division, while berries, grapes, exotics and vegetables will be packed at the new location.

“The Honeybourne site will give us the capacity to grow while we continue to develop Elision’s services,” said business director at Elision UK, Lauren Hakes.

Elision UK was established in 2014 and became operational in January 2015 to provide specialist contract packing of fresh produce for growers, retailers, convenience retailers, foodservice and the cash and carry sector, and support direct sourcing models.

It works in partnership with subsidiaries Wellpak and Ackio, supported by the management services of The Alomora Group.
