Jeremy Boxall has left LEAF after 16 years after his role as director was made redundant, the organisation has confirmed.

LEAF chief executive Caroline Drummond said that Boxall's position had been integrated into existing roles within the environmental farming body's head office. Boxall, who FPJ understands does not have a new role lined up, departed on 31 October.

Boxall tweeted: 'You may have heard I'm now enjoying life after LEAF. Looking forward to the next chapter in my life.'

Drummond paid tribute to Boxall's work in helping develop the LEAF Marque, as well as his commitment to the organisation. 'Jeremy played a leading role in the development and management of LEAF Marque Ltd to create a leading global certification system operating in 33 countries,' she said.

'He was instrumental in achieving full membership of ISEAL (International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labelling Alliance), further recognising LEAF Marque as a credible assurance system which has been adopted by a number of multinational companies.

'Furthermore, he instigated the design, development and deployment of LEAF Marque Chain of Custody and logo license process.'

'I wish him every success for the future.'
