Marks & Spencer has launched a Brussels sprouts version of guacamole as part of its Christmas buffet range.
Dubbed 'brusselmole', the recipe includes British-grown sprouts with a dash of maple syrup and has been available in stores since 2 December.
The festive dip can be spread on toast or served with crips or crudités, the retailer said.
It has been launched alongside other sprout product developments, including new Sprout Bangers and a Sprout Slaw, and looks to capitalise on the popularity of avocado-based guacamole.
M&S developer Barbara Ross says: “Last year we launched sprout juice and everyone went mad for it, so we thought we’d step things up a notch this year and go for a Brussels dip.'
Brusselmole is retailing at £1.90 for 200g. If it’s successful, M&S said it would consider stocking the sprout dip all year round.
