Mansfields' rosy Worcester apples in wooden bins

Mansfield’s financial director Philip Hermon has been appointed as the new chief executive at the Kent apple grower, FPJ understands.

According to Hermon’s profile on business social network LinkedIn, he took over as CEO at Mansfield's last month. He originally joined the top-fruit specialist as financial director in July 2010.

Hermon has had a career in finance, having worked as financial director at Headcount Worldwide from 2005 to 2010, and previously as financial controller of FDS Field Marketing from 1998 to 2005.

Mansfield’s declined to comment.
