Bidfresh chief executive Stephen Oswald has become the latest big-name industry boss to join the lineup for the 2017 UK Fruit & Vegetable Congress (FPJ Live).

Bidfresh is a subsidiary of South African foodservice giant Bid Corp, and sources £280 million of fresh food to supply to the catering sector. Oswald will outline some of the sourcing initiatives taking place at the business, as well as discussing the development of the burgeoning catering market.

Oswald joins Borough Market chief executive Darren Henaghan in what is set to be a fascinating session throwing the spotlight beyond the supermarket sector. The event takes place at The Belfry Hotel & Resort on 4 May.

Other major industry bosses at the flagship event include Fresca chairman Chris Mack, Berry Gardens managing director Nick Marston, NFU president Meurig Raymond and British Growers chief executive Jack Ward. The supermarket view will be presented by Asda produce manager Charlie Mills and Co-op produce trading manager Adele Balmforth.

The early bird rate, which offers delegates a 20 per cent discount on the full price, is expiring soon. To see the full programme and to register visit www.fpjlive.com.
