M&S has joined the online food delivery sector

Marks & Spencer has moved into the online grocery delivery sector with a trial in north London.

The premium retailer is offering home delivery in one- and two-hour slots on a limited range of ready meals, the Guardian reported, in a move described by analysts as a similar structure to Just Eat, with smaller baskets than multiple retail online delivery orders.

The first trial is based at its M&S Camden with a second one at a store in Reading. Both trials are open only to M&S Sparks loyalty card holders with a minimum order of £10.
