LBF Partner 2018

Greenvale has signed up to back the Love British Food initiative.

Love British Food is the organisation that runs the websitewww.lovebritishfood.co.uk and British Food Fortnight. Taking place between 22 September and 7 October this year, British Food Fortnight is the biggest annual, national celebration of British food and drink.

Greenvale will be using the event to promote its British growers and business. The company has its own seed variety and development business and own growing potato operations in Perthshire, the Scottish Borders and the eastern counties, and believes its success is built on close working relationships with partners throughout the supply chain, research organisations, seed breeders, suppliers, growers, customers and consumers.

Marketing manager Tracey Mattock said: “As a business we are very passionate about our potatoes and the care and attention delivered by ourselves and our growers throughout every stage of our supply chain. Our high-quality potatoes are delivered to our customers 364 days per year and that can only be achieved with the support of everyone throughout our business.

“Our views are aligned with Love British Food and we are delighted to shout about and encourage people to buy, use and eat British potatoes. We are promoting the campaign around our business and currently to our talented young growers who we are encouraging to enter the My name is… social media competition on Twitter and Instagram.

'The competition is a great platform for them to share a photo or video of themselves at work growing British potatoes and posting using the hashtags #BritishFoodisGreat and #LoveBritishFood. We hope many of our young growers will submit an entry and gain some recognition for the great work that we do.”

Alexia Robinson, Founder of Love British Food, added: “We are delighted to have Greenvale on board as a partner to promote British Food this year. As the largest grower of potatoes in Britain they are well placed to spread #BritishFoodisGreat message far and wide”.
