Angie Stuart

Fresh Produce Consortium business liaison manager Angie Stuart has left the organisation after 14 years in the role.

Stuart was a highly active member of the executive team, which also includes chief executive Nigel Jenney and communications manager Sian Thomas. Her role focused on membership consolidation and relationship management, as well as putting together HR forums and member trips to wholesale markets and ports.

She also played a key role in organising many of the FPC's events, including the Fresh Awards and, previously, the organisation's annual dinner at the Savoy Hotel in London.

Jenney confirmed that Stuart had left 'to pursue new challenges', adding: 'We genuinely wish her well for the future.'

Stuart told FPJ: 'I’ve loved my time at the FPC and playing an integral part in introducing change and developing the trade association over the years to bring added value to the members.

'I’ve learnt so much about our diverse sector along the way and I’ve made so many fabulous friends both in the UK and overseas. It's all about trading, and successfully introducing suppliers to buyers was one of the highlights of my role. It’s not difficult to love this industry and the people in it. I won’t be going far and I’m currently busy working on the next chapter with several new and exciting opportunities.

'I wish the FPC well, I have many very happy memories and I look forward to working with the industry in my new venture.'

No replacement for Stuart at the FPC has yet been announced.
