Finbar Cartlidge & Julien Roberts

Finbar Cartlidge and Julien Roberts

Sainsbury's fruit buyer Finbar Cartlidge and veg and salad buyer Julien Roberts will be taking the stage at FPJ Live in a wide-ranging interview to discuss the supermarket's strategy and the wider retail industry.

In conversation with FPJ editor Michael Barker, Cartlidge and Roberts will discuss Sainsbury's value chain analysis and supplier relationships, what the Asda tieup could mean, the impact of the discounters on the modern grocery business and how the supermarket is helping consumers eat more fresh, British produce.

FPJ Live 2018 takes place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 9 October and features an all-new, TV show-style format where a series of on-stage interviews replace the traditional 'speaker at a podium' format. The new approach promises punchier, more direct chat that addresses the big questions facing the future of the trade.

Alongside Sainsbury's, managing directors and chief executives of some of Britain's biggest companies will be taking to the stage, including Berry Gardens, Nationwide Produce, Wealmoor, Produce World, Premier Fruits and many more.

Innovation, multimedia and new technology will all feature at what is also one of the leading networking events of the year.

The early-bird rate, which saves delegates 20 per cent on the full price, ends on 28 August.
