Organics supplier SunFresh Produce is adopting a novel approach to product development by letting the public decide what brand to create.

The company will ask visitors at the Go! Organic Festival what kind organic brand they want to see via a ballot, before creating the favoured outcome.

SunFresh chief executive Matt Godfrey said they wanted to “disrupt the organic fresh produce industry” after growing frustrated with “corporate greed”.

'It's fantastic to see a surge of shoppers who don't insist on cosmetically perfect food and shun excessive packaging. With current trends providing momentum, we believe there's an opportunity to talk directly to the end-consumer at the Go! Organic Festival,” Godfrey said.

'The key is to listen and learn. What matters most to our customers is what matters most to us. We’re going to ask them what they want, and we’re going to make it happen.”

The company said every vote cast at the festival will help shape the new brand, as well as offering the chance to win a £500 glamping holiday voucher.
