Tesco has been crowned 'National Retailer of the Year' at the World Food Awards for the second year running.

The retailer has introduced over 1,000 new international food ranges, including Korean vegetable dish kimchi, to its UK offering this year.

In June, Tesco launched the World Foods Zone section to its website, allowing customers to purchase international produce for home delivery. The section links to Tesco's Real Food website to give customers recipe ideas and cooking advice.

The supermarket giant has also started stocking Aasani, an exclusive new Asian snack brand, which it says has received 'very positive' customer feedback.

'We know our customers love the world cuisine we have on offer, and we’re looking forward to another year of introducing exciting and innovative new products and ranges,' said Manisha Doshi, world foods product developer at Tesco.
