New Landini and Valpadana tractors will be launched during Fruit Focus at East Malling Research Centre, Kent.

The Landini stand, in conjunction with retail dealer Horsepower UK, will be displaying the Reverse Power Shuttle (RPS), and the Valpadana 6500 Series tractor range.

A high clearance version of Landini’s Powerfarm four-wheel drive tractor has been a big hit with strawberry and other specialist growers because it enables them to grow their crops in deeper beds, resulting in improved drainage and over-wintering conditions, higher yields and easier picking. The RPS version to be launched at Fruit Focus brings the added convenience of a power shuttle, which saves the driver having to use the clutch pedal to change between forward and reverse. No other high clearance tractor has this type of transmission.

The Valpadana 6500 Series tractor range comprises a number of low-profile four-wheel drive tractors with either rigid or articulated chassis. The range is ideal for orchard and polytunnel operations.

The latest versions will be launched at the show with new transmissions giving a choice of shuttle designs. Standard models get a hydraulically-operated shuttle for the 16x16 gearbox while the 54hp 6560 ARM articulated reverse-drive tractor, due to be shown at Fruit Focus, features a new electronically-operated design with additional features.
