Rembitt Ltd was at this year’s Fruit Focus displaying its range of timber and ply, lightweight fruit bins. It was the second year running that the Warwickshire-based company had taken a stall at the event and director, Jon Russell, said that the company realised that they were missing an opportunity by not taking part.

“Fruit Focus is the ideal shop window as it is picking time now,” he said. “We deal essentially with top fruit, but we do a small bushel box for soft fruit.

“We can offer the customer a service to suit their needs; no two coldstores are the same and customers always want to maximise the their capacity - so we produce all kinds of fruit bin sizes, while some manufacturers only provide a standard size.”

Rembitt has also extended its offer by allowing customers to order any of the component parts to a fruit bin, which will enable growers to extend the life of their existing fruit bins.
