Madlen Miserius will lead the Fruit Logistica team

Madlen Miserius has been handed the task of taking the world’s leading fresh produce industry trade fair Fruit Logistica to new heights.

Announcing her promotion, the exhibition organiser’s global brand manager Wilfried Wollbold said Miserius had already contributed much to the recent success of the show, which broke new records last month by bringing together more companies and buyers than ever before.

“We are delighted that Madlen Miserius will be leading our Berlin event team in to the future,” he commented. “She embodies the focus on excellence and the dedication to the fresh produce trade, which has helped our Berlin exhibition become the unique business catalyst it is.”

Miserius, who has spent the past decade working for the Fruit Logistica team, said he approach would be to focus the Berlin event even more clearly on areas where it has excelled in the past, such as business matchmaking, innovation spotlighting and thought leadership.

“These are the cornerstones upon which our customers and the fresh produce trade as a whole can further build their business activities over the next decade,” she added.

This year’s event in Berlin spotlighted a significant number of brand new products, services, technologies and ideas, delivering a conference programme that, in its entirety, featured more than 150 speakers from almost 30 countries – covering all aspects of the trade.

This was rounded off with the publishing of its groundbreaking Fruit Logistica Trend Report, Disruption in Fruit & Vegetable Distribution, which offered valuable advice on how to meet new challenges and opportunities presented in key areas such as retail, foodservice and an increasingly technology-driven supply chain.

The next Fruit Logistica takes place in Berlin on 6-8 February 2019.
