Proseal GT2

Heat sealing specialist Proseal will showcase a range of solutions at this year's Fruit Focus event, offering expertise in the field that it says can aid growers in increasing efficiencies and reducing packaging weight by 30 per cent.

Products on show will include tray sealing equipment that enables heat sealed film to be used on fruit punnets instead of traditional clip-on lids, the group said, reducing both packaging weight and the amount of packaging material used without compromising on packing speeds or product quality.

Proseal offers a range of machines to meet softfruit packers' requirements, balancing maximum throughout with a growing trend towards shorter production runs to accommodate product variations for different end customers.

Models on show at the event, which takes place in Kent, UK on 21 July, include the Proseal GT2, which is capable of sealing over 90 packs per minute.

'Proseal offers machines with high-quality sealing performance,' said Tony burgess, control systems manager at Proseal. 'We have not only provided heat seal machinery to good effect but have integrated the technology well and transformed each packaging line so that it becomes conducive for heat sealing.

'Thanks to our extensive customer base, we understand the requirements of the softfruit industry, and are able to tailor solutions to specific customer needs,' he added.
