EDP Australia has partnered with peak industry body Citrus Australia as a major corporate sponsor. Citrus Australia chief executive Judith Damiani said the deal would provide the citrus industry with greater access to innovative products and knowledge from EDP, a proud regionally based Australian manufacturing company with global know-how and alliances.
“We are delighted to partner with an Australian manufacturer that specialises in innovative packaging for fresh produce,” Damiani said.
EDP manufactures infeed and inspection systems that are fully wired and integrated with the key European components, offering what the company claims to be “a total turnkey installation.” Ray Thrum, EDP’s general manager, said the company pleased to be supporting the Australian citrus industry through a period of sustained growth.
“We see an exciting future for Australian citrus particularly as exports increase to growing Asian markets,” Thrum said. “The partnership will provide the Australian citrus industry a truly local service in both machinery support and consumable supply.”
