Global crop protection specialist Adama has signed a two-year sponsorship deal with industry body Apple & Pear Australia (Apal).

The deal, effective from July 2016, will provide Apal will financial support while Adama Australia says the timing is right for the copmany to be working with apple and pear growers ahead of the release of its new crop protection product Cormoran, and growth regulator product Brevis.

“Whether it be in the development of innovative crop protection solutions, or in our offering of digital technologies such as our automated pest management system, Trapview, our focus is to create simplicity for producers and to work together with our partners to help maximise returns,” said Adama Australia marketing general manger Adam Phelan.

“Adama has a range of crop protection products for apple and pear growers and more recently has been investing in research and development to develop new products,” added Apal CEO John Dollisson. “Apal welcomes investment into, and research for, our industry and looks forward to working with Adama to improve overall industry productivity.”
