Pallet equipment supplier Loscamhas opened a new repair facility in Brisbane.

The site will provide the company’s Australian division with a significant expansion to their repair and storage capacity, and is complimented with brand new machinery.

Daniel Bunnett, executive vice president of Loscam Australia and New Zealand, said the investment was critical to the growth of Loscam’s local customer base and to meet customer's growing expectations around product quality and diversity.

“There is an enormous amount of work which goes into driving a Greenfield site development,” Bunnett explained. “The effort from the local team in driving the market share gain and then leading this development has been first rate.

“I would also like to acknowledge our parent company in China Merchants Group who continues to invest in the long term strategic future for the region.”

The new facility was offically opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony late last week. Over 120 dignitaries including customers, suppliers and executive team members were in attendance.

“This new Richlands facility is further strong evidence of China Merchants ongoing support to Loscam,” said Loscam’s executive vice president of finance, Linda Tsui, at the opening. “It is another example of our commitment to take a new lead and give it a new definition to the logistic industry in the Australian market place.”

Loscam offers a number of solutions to the fresh produce industry, including packing bins a reusable plastic crates.
