Australian ag-tech company, The Yield, has scooped up the top award in their category at the AgFunder Innovation Awards held this week in SanFrancisco.

The award recognises innovators in the agri-food technology sector along the entire value chain.

The Yield’s technology starts with the growers, and uses Internet of Things, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to power its agriculture and predictions technology.

The solution was recognised as ‘most innovative international start-up series A and beyond’ in the farm tech category.

“It’s a genuine honour to have won this AgFunder Innovation Award, but the victory is made sweeter as we’re joined by [other] incredible winners from the Australian ag-tech community,” said Ros Harvey, founder and managing director at The Yield.

SmartShepherd and Agridigital were two other Australian companies that took out best in their respective categories of supply chain tech, and farm tech.

Agridigital was recognised as ‘most innovative international start-up series A and beyond’ for its blockchain technology which it applies to supply chain management and traceability software.
