Representative body New Zealand Kiwifruit Growers (NZKGI) has established a series of KPIs that provides the country’s growers with an “authoritative and robust” assessment of Zespri’s performance.

The Zespri Annual 2017/18 Key Performance Indicators grower dashboard includes performance measures a number of key criteria, including onshore and offshore fruit loss; average premium pricing (green); New Zealand supply overheads, margin and sales; research and development; global revenue per employee; brand awareness; Zespri Group Limited (ZGL) dividend; and collaborative marketing.

The dashboard is set to be produced on an annual basis. NZKGI will also produce a quarterly KPI dashboard, which will use a different set of metrics to examine the single-desk marketer’s performance. The first quarterly report is likely to be releases in conjunction with the upcoming Zespri Grower Roadshows.

The establishment of the KPIs are an outcome of the Kiwifruit Industry Strategic Plan (KISP) process.
