Compac - Inspectra2

Tomra Food-owned Compac has entered a partnership agreement with Sienz, a manufacturer, integrator and service provider to fresh produce packers.

The deal relates to the supply of grading solutions in Australia and New Zealand, across a range of selected produce categories.

The partnership will see Compac pair its integrated post-harvest solutions, including its core sorting and inspection systems, with Sienz’sinfeed systems and packing equipment.

The agreement formalises an existing relationship between the pair for citrus, avocado and tropical fruit solutions in the Australian market, while also extending these solutions to New Zealand post-harvest operators.

“This agreement is part of our strategy to establish ‘best-of-breed’ partnerships in order to offer our customers clearly defined, integrated packing solutions that leverage the very best of what is available globally for each part of the packing process,” said Ken Moynihan, CEO of Compac.

“With this strategy we aim to lead innovation in all packhouse functions by relying on focused product development from the best specialists within our team and our global partners.”

Sienz will be Compac’s preferred partner in the supply of peripheral equipment, which Compac will offer to clients as part of an integrated solution.

Compac will continue to deliver full sales, project management and service support to its customers in Australia and New Zealand, while Sienz will establish project management and solutions teams based throughout the region. These teams will be led by industry veteran Craig Hart, who joined the Sienz team in October.

“We see great potential in this market, and believe that this partnership provides customers with the best solutions and service in the region through integrating products based on world-leading technologies and offering the best expertise in the industry,” said Sienz director David Buys.
