Michael ‘Snow’ Hardy has taken the director post at Pipfruit New Zealand vacated by Turners and Growers (T&G) managing director Jeff Wesley, who resigned from the position.

Mr Hardy is the CEO of Delica, a company under the T&G umbrella, and is due to become the general manager of Enza International this month, according to Freshinfo.

“Snow brings valuable knowledge of apples, pears and the broader produce industry,” said Mr Wesley when announcing Mr Hardy’s appointment at Enza.

“He has strong relationships with the grower community, offshore markets and a sound understanding of the New Zealand export environment.”

Mr Hardy joined Delica in 2001 with the deregulation of the New Zealand apple and pear industry, and took his position as CEO in March 2007 when the company was absorbed by T&G.
