Citrus Australia

Key players from government and industry are set to join Australia's citrus growers at a conference on 8-11 November, to discuss the future of the country's industry and ways of improving profits.

Peak industry body Citrus Australia has confirmed that domestic producers will be joined by representatives from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, CSIRO, Woolworths, Agriexchange and overseas players such as the Californian citrus industry.

'Citrus is one of Australia's largest horticulture industries and employers, and this forum brings government and the supply chain together as we work to secure the industry's future.'

The conference is expected to present new information and insights on biosecurity, market access and improved varieties that could enhance Australia's commercialisation opportunities.

Delegates from across the country as well as New Zealand and the US are set to participate in expert talks, field events, demonstrations and other interactive sessions.
